Hi, I’m Kevin Murphy, and I’m delighted to welcome you to our corner of West Cork.
This property has been my home since I moved here with my parents in 1974. The cottage you see today began its life as an old farm barn, which we lovingly converted back in 1985 to house visiting family and friends. Now, for the first time this March 2026, I am opening its doors to guests from near and far.
Having grown up in this community for over 50 years, I offer more than just a place to stay—I provide a true insider’s perspective on the real West Cork. I’ve seen decades of our famous summers and those breathtaking sunsets that stretch from early Spring right through to late Autumn. Because I have lived here since childhood, I can guide you to the best local food, the quietest walking trails, and the stories that only a lifelong resident would know.
Our cottage also serves as the perfect gateway to the Wild Atlantic Way, Ireland’s spectacular coastal touring route. From our doorstep, you are perfectly positioned to explore the rugged peninsulas, hidden coves, and vibrant villages that make this shoreline world-famous.
